Next to Eros ATC centre where we usually spend our days is the government hangars. Today this beautiful bird was on the apron in front of it.
It is a Bombardier Global Express belonging to the Republic of Botswana. The reason for it being there is a state visit to Namibia by the president of Botswana, Ian Khama.
Ian Khama has been the president of Botswana since 2008. He is the son of Seretse Khama who was Botswana’s independence leader and President from 1966 to 1980.
President Khama has a background as a military pilot and used to be the Commander of the Botswana Defence Force.
